"It is our aim to provide our residents with a loving, friendly warm and comfortable environment where individuals' uniqueness is taken into consideration, thereby providing them with care that is centered to their needs"

We have 43 bedrooms, 19 with en suite facilities (10 within a dedicated unit) the remainder with hand basins. We have 6 bathrooms fully equipped with assisted baths, 1 shower room and 9 additional toilets.

An emergency call button is installed in all rooms.

Each room contains a divan bed, wardrobe and vanity unit with hand basin, reading lamp, television arial point and a telephone point for those wishing to have a privately funded telephone connected.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own small peices of furniture and personal items, as familiar items lessen the trauma of giving up a much loved home, pictures, photographs. All linen is provided.

Three meals are served each day in one of three dining areas. Breakfast, a cooked lunch and Tea, a light supper served early evening. Tea and coffee are also served several times each day in one of our three lounge areas.

The main lounge is a busy and lively area where there is music, television, activities and at times entertainment provided. We have an activities room, currently also used as a smoking room for those residents who smoke. We do however prefer that residents do not smoke if at all possible.

Pleasant Gardens surround the house maintained throughout the year. A new greenhouse is proposed where residents with an interest in gardening can dabble in their previous hobby.
